Although I finished my Thesis in November last year, I still haven’t officially graduated yet. The reason for this is simple, I couldn’t fit in the graduation ceremony schedule before my leave to Japan, so instead I decided to postpone it till this August.

The day has finally arrived! Next week, Wednesday the 20th of August, Beany will officially become Master Beany. My graduation ceremony will be at the Auditorium at the Vrije Universiteit. It will start at 15.00, but people should assemble a bit earlier, namely 14.30. If you’d like to attend, please send me a message, so I can give you more details.

After the ceremony I’ll go for drinks and dinner, after which it is of course time to celebrate at the Noodlanding in Paradiso. So I hope to see you there!

Sometimes stuff happens that I just can not understand. Last Sunday a man went on a killing spree in Akihabara, Tokyo. Apparently, he was tired of life, which justified all his actions. He killed 7 people and injured about 10 others.

I truly can not understand how someone can perform an act like that. He just slashed people at random, whoever happened to be there, got hit. How can somebody become so disconnected from life?

I can understand if you don’t agree with the society you’re living in. I can understand if you aren’t happy with life. I can understand if you want to change the way the world works…

However, I cannot understand why anybody would want to vent these feelings in such a way. Why on earth would you ever, EVER, hurt anybody, just because you can’t deal with the world.

Shout, Curse, Seek help, Punch a wall, Whatever, but do not take it out on random innocent people, who have nothing to do with it.

Please people, don’t hurt other people … I just cannot understand…

Wakaranai….

How are you? I’ve been keeping you more or less updated about my endeavors here in Japan. However, after 5 months I kind of lost track of what everybody is doing. Please let me know, how are you doing these days?

You may have been wondering why there is such a big delay in my latest blog post. Unfortunately there are several reasons for that.

The first reason: I’m still waiting for some pictures I absolutely have to include in the next post, without those, it just wouldn’t be complete.

The second reason: I’m busy as hell with school, work and aikijujutsu.

The third and final reason: my internet connection sucks a lot lately. I can hardly browse or upload stuff, therefore it is a pain to even use the internet for normal purposes, let alone try to post on my blog.

The good news is, that I will be moving to a bigger place next month, which is also a bit closer to Shinjuku station. I’ve also verified that the internet connection is stable at that location (no more wireless, whoohoo!).

However, I will of course try to post as well as possible until I’m at my new room. I’ll get the pictures I’ve been waiting for tonight, so I will provide you with a much needed update on my adventures here this weekend. So please hang in there.
